D&D is an Infinite Game

There is no winning condition, there is no end to it. The journey is the whole point. Campaigns have been going for decades and the players are loving it.

That makes explaining it to people so hard. When you mention that dnd is a ‘game’, their mind directly goes to finite games. An example for how hard it is to approach infinite games from a finite mindset.
