Summary/Reflection

Michelle Obama tells the story of her upbringing in Southside Chicago, how she met Barack, started building a family with him while being a professional and their path to and life in the White House.

What struck me was how genuine she seems throughout the book. Her path is impressive and the dilligence she has stewarding the sacrifices of her parents inspiring. Reading this after having read A Promised Land, you can start to see a picture of the Obamas and their values. It leads me to respect them.
